    Byte-Sized Brief

    • AI reads product reviews for you.
    • Available now on select U.S. product pages.
    • Works in the Amazon mobile app.

Amazon is testing a new audio feature in its mobile app that uses generative AI to turn product research into a short-form listening experience. Called “Hear the highlights,” it pulls together key product details, reviews, and web information into a short conversation-style clip that plays right from the product page. Instead of digging through specs and reviews, you can just hit play.

The company says the feature will expand “in the coming months,” but is currently live for a small group of U.S. users on select products, like the SHOKZ OpenRun Pro headphones. And it’s easy to use: Just tap the “Hear the highlights” button below the product image in the Amazon app. It’s handy if you’re multitasking or want to absorb the information without reading. The big draw here is time; this lets you get the gist of a product in seconds.
