    Byte-Sized Brief

    • The free AI course was built by top educators.
    • It teaches real-world AI collaboration skills.
    • It was created to fill digital literacy gaps.

Claude-creator Anthropic has launched a free course to teach what most schools aren’t: how to actually work with AI. Built in partnership with two professors, the AI Fluency course is built around four key skills: Delegation, Description, Discernment, and Diligence. In plain terms, that means knowing how and when to use AI, how to ask it the right things, and how to think critically about the results.

Why does this matter? AI is quickly becoming part of your kids’ future—in school, at work, and in daily life—but most schools haven’t caught up yet. The course is short (about four hours total), doesn’t push any one tool, and is free for everyone. While it is just a starting point for families looking to prepare their kids or themselves for the future, you have to start somewhere, and now is the right time, given the AI-powered future we’re clearly heading toward.

    The Bottom Line

Anthropic worked with educators to create a free course that teaches useful AI skills in a simple way. It’s an easy way to start learning about how to use AI.
