ForbesToday’s NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Thursday, July 10thBy Erik Kain

Well my dearest Crosswordlers, Friday has come. The weekend is nearly here and this is my last guide for the next couple weeks. But I’ll be back! For now, let’s just dive right in and solve today’s Mini!

The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it’s free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or the app, though you’ll need the app to tackle the archive.

    Spoilers ahead!

How To Solve Today’s Mini Crossword

Before we get to the answers, here’s the first letter for each word in today’s Mini.

7A. Spiritual leader whose name translates to “my teacher” – R

    8A. With 9-Across, parallel bars? – E

    9A. See 8-Across – S

    Down

Okay, onto the answers! Remember, spoilers ahead!

Not a terribly difficult Mini today, though tricky enough to take me 1:26. Some of these I just didn’t think of—like AIDS, which makes me think of a sexually transmitted disease more than “helpful things”, or SABAN because I’m terrible with any sports-related clues. Others, like CREAM, I got lucky with. I like the clever 8 and 9 Across combo. SIGN is in yellow since it relies entirely on number nine to work, and the two kind of make the EQUAL SIGN (or “parallel bars”) when you look at them together.

How did you do? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I write guides about that as well. You can find those and all my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
