Xiaomi’s Redmi Turbo series has a reputation for delivering great performance on a budget, and according to early insider rumors, the Redmi Turbo 5 is poised to carry on the tradition. According to the info, the phone will be based on an unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. Currently, we don’t know anything about the chip, but we can assume that, like the Dimensity 8400, it will be a powerful upper-midrange offering, potentially also carrying forward the all-big core CPU approach.

As for other suggested Redmi Turbo 5 specs, the source hints at a 6.6-ish inch flat display with a 1.5K resolution and a battery pack of around 7,500 mAh. Apparently, besides the large battery, the phone will feature a β€œthin and light design,” complete with a metal frame and right-angle corners.

Finally, according to the source, as well as based on the company’s track record, the Redmi Turbo 5 might also be rebranded as the Poco X8 Pro.
