    Byte-Sized Brief

    • Works with phones, laptops, VR, and TVs.
    • Play wired or over Bluetooth.
    • Console-level controls, no console needed.

The company behind the Backbone One has just launched the Backbone Pro, a new attachable game controller that works across just about every device—phones, laptops, tablets, TVs, and even VR systems. Unlike traditional controllers made for consoles, this one’s built for on-the-go, cross-platform gaming. It connects via USB-C or Bluetooth and includes Pro features like console-quality joysticks, remappable buttons, and custom profiles for different games and devices.

The Backbone Pro lets you play where and how you want, whether you’re into cloud streaming via Xbox Remote Play, mobile games from the App Store, or classic retro titles through its built-in emulator. CEO Maneet Khaira says, “The future of gaming transcends individual devices”—and this controller is clearly built with that future in mind. It’s available now at Backbone.com and Best Buy.
