Byte-Sized Brief
- NordVPN GUI now available on Linux.
- Some features still require the CLI.
- Easy to install with updated command.
Linux users no longer have to rely solely on command-line tools to connect to NordVPN. The company has rolled out a full graphical user interface that makes it easier to connect, tweak settings, and monitor the VPN connection without typing commands.
The new GUI includes light and dark themes and keeps popular features like Threat Protection, Kill Switch, Double VPN, and more. While advanced options like Meshnet still require the command-line interface (CLI), the graphical user interface (GUI) offers a more accessible experience. It’s available now via DEB and RPM packages, with Snap support coming soon. Use this terminal command to install NordVPN with a full GUI:
sh <(wget -qO – https://downloads.nordcdn.com/apps/linux/install.sh) -p nordvpn-gui
