Canva’s AI-powered Magic Studio just got more magical with a new video tool that gives users even more pro-level creative power. The Create a Video Clip feature, built on Google’s Veo 3 video generation model, transforms a text prompt into a movie-grade, 8-second clip—complete with AI-generated audio.

Like all of Canva’s AI tools, you can find the new video-generation tool from the Canva AI suite. Describe what you envision in the prompt box and your creation will open automatically in the Video Editor. Then view and refine your vision to match the platform or use case, whether it’s part of a social media campaign or a presentation deck. Create a Video Clip is available right now for all paid and nonprofit users. The only restriction is a five-video monthly cap for the time being, but Canva says it’s working on expanding that.
