Eufy’s new smart display could seriously challenge Amazon and Google – here’s how

    Eufy

Eufy’s Smart Display E10 is designed to control your Eufy smart home ecosystem, with intelligent features like facial recognition, quad-view live stream, event summaries, and a built-in battery for portability.

The 8-inch tablet can be wall-mounted or placed on a desk or tabletop with the included stands. It can be plugged in for continuous power; however, the built-in battery lasts up to 24 hours, letting you grab the tablet and walk around when needed. This smart display supports Wi-Fi 6, but can run on a local area network with no ads or monthly fees.

“At Eufy, we believe that smart home security should be effortless, intuitive, and accessible to everyone in the family,” says Frank Zhu, Eufy’s general manager. “The all-in-one Smart Display E10 reflects our ‘Built With Care’ mission — seamlessly syncing with Eufy security devices as the master control hub for advanced AI capabilities, multi-camera viewing, and flexible portability.”

The HD display lets you view up to four live camera feeds simultaneously. Having a smart display independent of using the Eufy mobile app on your phone makes it convenient for all household members, including children and the elderly, to see who’s at the door or hear when the doorbell is pressed. It’s also an easy way to access your home security system, whether you put it on a wall or the kitchen counter.

When combined with the Eufy HomeBase S380, which functions as a Eufy Security smart home hub, and other AI-powered Eufy devices, the E10 display can announce visitors by name if their face is recognized. It can also generate daily summaries using AI to compile video clips of activity.

Also: Forget AirTags: This KeySmart luggage lock makes location-tracking easy (and it’s TSA-compliant)

I’m looking forward to testing the Smart Display E10 with my existing Eufy Security system and sharing my review. It’s a promising device, especially when paired with the HomeBase S380; however, being brand-exclusive means it isn’t for everyone. The Eufy E10 Smart Display controls Eufy smart home devices only.

If you prefer other ecosystems, you could look into the Amazon Echo Hub to control Alexa devices, and the Google Pixel Tablet as a smart hub for Google Home devices.

The Eufy Smart Display E10 is now available for $200, with a 15% discount using code WS24T87A01W1 at checkout. Because of high demand, orders placed after July 6 are expected to ship in early August, according to the Eufy website.
