Google hasn’t shared any details of the Pixel Watch 4, but lots of tech publications, leakers, and even Google itself have shared thoughts and possible hints on improvements we might see:
- Leaker 91mobiles dropped a video on YouTube showing a thicker face and sensors on the back that are likely planned for tracking health and fitness metrics. Notably missing in the video are charging pins.
- Android Headlines has confirmed a new charging mechanism for the Pixel Watch 4 that has the watch charge on its side (i.e., no wireless charging this year). The smartwatch is also said to charge about 25 percent faster than the latest model.
- Phone Arena expects to see more integration with Google’s services, which is right on track with many of the moves the company has made this year.
- AndroidCentral thinks the Pixel Watch 4 will maintain the round form, but will possibly have thinner bezels. This is backed by a tweet from TechHounder on X.
Google itself seems to be pushing its Gemini AI into everything, so it’s not unrealistic to expect deep Gemini integration. Since the release of Gemini 2.0 the company has embedded its AI into everything from Google Workspace Apps (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, etc.) to Google Maps and Photos. Seeing this push makes me think we could expect a similar direction for the Google Pixel Watch 4.
