    Roku

If you’re dealing with streaming overload and can’t decide what to watch, Roku is rolling out four new features to help make your decision a little easier. Designed to help you discover new shows, these features showcase trending content, new content, and what’s in theaters now. There’s also a new “Surf Mode” that brings Reels and TikTok-style viewing to your TV.

    What’s new on Roku

Top trending: Roku will let you see what everyone is watching with new “Top 10 Movies” and “Top 10 TV Shows” rows. These rows, which refresh daily, will spotlight the most searched titles across Roku’s expansive library. You’ll find them under the “New & Popular” tab as well as the Movies and TV destinations.

Movie night: While many new releases are available on streaming shortly after debut, you still have to head out if you want to catch the biggest ones. A new “In Theaters Now” row under the New & Popular tab highlights current movie releases. You can watch trailers and add titles to your saved list so you can watch at home when they arrive on Roku.

Surf Mode: If short clip-style scrolling is more your thing, you’ll love this feature. Surf Mode is a way to scroll through AI-curated clips from content that’s on The Roku Channel. These clips will be curated to your tastes, and you can click to see the whole show or movie if something grabs your attention.

New to Live: Roku has more than 500 free, live TV channels, so there’s always something on. But if you want to see what’s new, there’s now a “Newly Added” section to help you find the most recently added channels.

Roku says these new features are rolling out over the next few weeks.

Reaching more than 90 million homes, Roku is the most popular streaming OS in America. Just a few months ago in May, it introduced another series of new features, including short-form content in the All Things Food and All Things Home tabs, a personalized highlight row in the Sports Zone, the ability to go straight to Roku City without waiting for the screensaver to turn on, and more.
