Realme launched the GT 7 Pro in China back in November of last year, and the non-Pro GT7 only in April. This strategy is set to change for their successors, however, if a new rumor from China pans out.

According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, both the GT 8 and the GT 8 Pro will launch together in October. The Pro model is rumored to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, which itself is launching in September.

The Realme GT 8 Pro is also said to have competitive specs for its screen and battery, and a periscope telephoto camera. A previous leak said the handset would sport a “2K” resolution screen with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and a battery over 7,000 mAh in capacity with support for 100W wired charging. The periscope telephoto camera was rumored to have 200 MP resolution.

So, all in all, the GT 8 Pro is looking like a good follow-up to its predecessor, we expect more details about it to be leaking in the coming weeks.
