‘Sinners’ Is Streaming on Max This Weekend. Here’s When to Watch

Who’s ready to experience Sinners at home? The original film, penned by Ryan Coogler, is coming to Max and is worth the watch — or 99th rewatch.

Rich in blues music, culture, metaphors and Southern gothic vibes, the vampire flick stars Michael B. Jordan as a pair of twin brothers — Smoke and Stack — who come back to their Mississippi hometown with big plans. But they encounter a supernatural malevolence unlike anything they’ve ever known, and it’s threatening to break, take and destroy. The movie also features Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Hailee Steinfeld, Delroy Lindo and Omar Miller.

Sinners has sunk its fangs into the box office to the tune of $360 million worldwide since its theatrical release in March, and soon you can catch the must-watch film on streaming. In addition to the original version, Max is also debuting an edition in Black American Sign Language (BASL), a first for a streaming platform.

“Accessibility within streaming is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Our goal at Max is to make these great stories accessible to all audiences in a way that is authentic to the content and the communities we serve,” said Warner Bros. Discovery’s SVP of Global Product Management, Naomi Waibel. “Sinners with Black American Sign Language is an example of how culturally nuanced access can enrich the viewing experience for our audiences.”

Scroll on to find out when, and make a note to yourself to watch the post-credits scenes.

‘Sinners’ streaming release date on Max

Tee up your TV screens for Friday, July 4, to watch Sinners over and over when it premieres globally on Max (soon to be HBO Max again). The BASL version will also be available. For those of you who have HBO as a cable subscription, the movie will debut on Saturday, July 5, at 8 p.m. ET.

Max houses titles from Warner Bros., HBO, DC and other Warner-owned brands, and you can stream movies such as Mickey 17, Spaceballs, The Alto Knights and How to Train Your Dragon. A standalone subscription starts at $10 per month, and you can choose to stream with or without ads or snag a bundle to save money.
