Augmented reality (AR) company Xreal wants you to ditch your Meta Ray-Bans (or other smart glasses) with a trade-in promo. Participants can trade in any pair of glasses and receive up to $475 cashback on a digital MasterCard, which can be spent however you please, or put toward the Xreal One or Xreal One Pro glasses.

When I say “any pair of glasses,” I do mean that. You can trade in reading glasses, sunglasses, third-party AR glasses, or VR headsets and earn a reward. Basically, if it looks like glasses, Xreal will take them.

The maximum trade-in value will depend on the brand, model, and condition of the glasses being turned in, but at most, you’ll receive up to $475 — like if you traded in a well-maintained Meta Quest Pro. That means you’re hypothetically saving nearly 75% off an Xreal One Pro headset.
How to trade-in with Xreal
The trade-in process involves several steps. Here’s a quick overview.
- First, you must purchase either an Xreal One or an Xreal One Pro from the company’s website between July 15 and August 15, 2025 (it can’t be from any third-party retailer).
- Second, buyers must complete the valuation form on the Trade In Promotion Page within 30 days of the purchase date of your Xreal One or One Pro glasses.
- Third, send your trade-in product to Xreal. Xreal will let you know your claim has been approved by email and give you instructions to send in your qualifying trade-in product.
- Lastly, wait for your cashback reward. Once Xreal has approved your claim and received your trade-in product, the brand will send you your digital MasterCard reward. Just sit back and wait.

You can trade in 23 qualifying products, including plain reading glasses, the RayNeo Air 3S, Meta RayBan Wayfarers, the Meta Quest 3S, the Xreal Air 2, and more. The amount of money you get depends on the device’s condition and whether you purchased the Xreal One or One Pro glasses. You can view all eligible trade-in products and total max rewards for this offer at Xreal, but trading in Amazon Echo Frames can get you up to $145, Viture Pro XR glasses up to $215, and Nreal Light glasses up to $250, for example.
Xreal states it will provide the maximum value only if “the glasses are in full working order and undamaged.” So, a little wear and tear is okay, but any damage that hinders function is a no-no.

Don’t worry if your glasses aren’t on the list. You can still trade them in and receive $75 cashback with the purchase of an Xreal One or $100 cashback with the purchase of an Xreal One Pro headset. Keep in mind that Xreal will not return any non-qualifying or damaged items that are mailed in for review, so be sure to verify the trade-in requirements before you send your items away.
If Xreal approves your claim, the company will provide a pre-paid postage label and a unique barcode to include with your trade-in device. Once mailed in, Xreal will review the glasses, finalize the trade-in amount, and provide a digital MasterCard with your credit.
So, sure — there are a few steps to follow to take advantage of this trade-in offer, but it’s a great option for those looking to upgrade to an Xreal pair and recycle their old tech. Plus, it helps to keep Xreal’s competition off the streets, which is a clear win for the brand.
