James Gunn’s Superman movie got a roughly 2-minute teaser last year, and now fans can see more of David Corenswet as the Man of Steel in the first full trailer.
The superhero epic flies into theaters on July 11 (two weeks before Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps). It’s the first film in Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe and presents a hero “who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind,” according to a synopsis.
Superman, written and directed by Gunn, stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Last December’s preview included Superman saving a child from an explosion, Krypto the Superdog helping the battered hero and a look at the Clark Kent side of the character.
In addition to Brosnahan, Hoult and Corenswet, the movie stars Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell.
