Sony will give you a free 55-inch 4K TV right now, and there are several ways to qualify

Buy a Sony Bravia 8 II, and get another 4K TV for free - but you'll need to act fast

While Memorial Day sales are nearly over, Sony has one last trick up its sleeve to get you to show them the money: a Buy One, Get One offer on a TV we expect to gain high marks later this year.

For a limited time, Sony is giving out free TVs with select purchases. If you buy a 65-inch Bravia 8 II QD-OLED 4K display, you will get a 55-inch X77L 4K Google TV at no cost. This TV normally retails for $590. Similarly, if you buy a 55-inch Bravia 8 II, you’ll receive a free 50-inch Sony X77L TV, which currently retails for $530 outside of this deal.

There are no other strings attached. With this promotion, you’ll be saving nearly $600. That said, you will have to act fast because, as alluded to earlier, the deal won’t be around for long. You have until June 8 to take advantage before the sale is gone (or while supplies last). Shipping is free.

Don’t believe me? Here’s how easy it is to score this deal. Simply add an eligible TV to your cart, and your free TV will appear. Here’s what my cart looks like.

For those who may not be familiar, Sony’s Bravia 8 II is the company’s latest flagship TV, delivering an outstanding visual experience. Thanks to its Quantum Dot panel, it can output “billions of accurate real-world colors” and supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and IMAX Enhanced.

Immersive audio is also a part of the package. Acoustic Surface Audio Plus will envelop owners in a bubble of sound. Voice Zoom 3 cuts through bad audio mixing, so you’ll be able to hear dialogue clearly.

What makes this Bravia model stand out is its XR Processor. This chip harnesses an “AI-scene recognition system that detects the type of content you’re watching and [upscales the output] accordingly.” It makes older movies “appear more vivid and dynamic.” It even suppresses visual noise better than past generations.

Also: We saw Sony’s deluge of 2025 Bravia TVs, and the flagship OLED may give you sticker shock

The X77L may not be as opulent as the Bravia 8, but it is a solid 4K TV providing “lifelike picture quality” and booming audio courtesy of Dolby Atmos. Movie fans, in particular, will appreciate Motionflow XR, which smooths out the on-screen frame rate and reduces any stuttering.

    How I rated this deal

As per ZDNET’s rating system, this promotion gets a perfect 5/5 Editor’s deal rating. A score like that should be pretty obvious. You can’t beat a free 4K TV, especially one as large as 55 inches, and one as excellent as this. Sony’s X77L is worth a purchase by itself.

As per Sony, this offer will end on June 8, 2025.

However, deals are subject to sell out or expire at any time, though ZDNET remains committed to finding, sharing, and updating the best product deals for you to score the best savings. Our team of experts regularly checks in on the deals we share to ensure they are still live and obtainable. We’re sorry if you’ve missed out on a deal, but don’t fret — we constantly find new chances to save and share them with you on ZDNET.com.
