Motorola announced three new G-series smartphones in its portfolio. While the trio looks nearly identical, there are some subtle differences in the specs department.

Moto G86 and G86 Power share the same basic hardware, apart from the battery, which in the case of the latter is the largest cell ever fitted in a Motorola smartphone at a whopping 6,720mAh. Moto G56 is a more affordable entry with toned-down, capable specs and lower pricing.

The new Moto G86 and G86 Power are built around a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel is rated at up to 4,500 nits peak local brightness and features Gorilla Glass 7i protection and an embedded fingerprint scanner.

Both phones are equipped with the Dimensity 7300 chipset, which is paired with 8GB RAM and 256/512GB storage. The camera department includes a 50 MP main cam (LYT-600), alongside an 8 MP ultrawide lens, which serves double duty as a macro cam. There’s a 32MP selfie shooter on the front.

The software side is covered by Android 15 and both phones support up to 30W charging with the regular Moto G86 featuring a 5,200mAh battery. Both phones are IP68/IP69 rated against water and dust and feature a MIL-STD 810H rating.

Moto G86 is priced at €299 in Germany and £280 in the UK. The G86 Power comes in at €329/£299.

    Moto G56

Unlike its new G-series siblings, Moto G56 dials down to a 6.72-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It debuts MediaTek’s new Dimensity 7060 chipset, which is yet to be formally announced. The SoC features an eight-core CPU clocked at up to 2.6GHz and the Imagination IMG BXM-8-256 GPU.
