Now that the launch of the M4 family of chips is finished, we’re looking ahead to the M5, which should launch later this year. But a new report claims that Apple is working on Macs well beyond the first crop of M5 machines.

According to AppleInsider, which received information about numerous product identifiers, Apple is planning no fewer than 15 new Macs for the end of 2025 and throughout 2026. Among the new M5 models on the way are:

    • 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro (J714s)
    • 14-inch M5 Max MacBook Pro (J714c)
    • 16-inch M5 Pro chip MacBook Pro (J716s)
    • 16-inch M5 Max chip MacBook Pro (J716c)
    • M5 iMac (J833ct)
    • M5 Pro Mac mini (J873s)
    • Mac Pro (J704)
    • M5 Max Mac Studio (J775c)
    • M5 Ultra Mac Studio (J775d)
    • 13-inch M5 MacBook Air (J813)
    • 15-inch M5 MacBook Air (J815)

Additionally, AppleInsider reports that the M6 family of MacBook Pros with M6 Pro and Max chips will arrive next fall with product identifiers K114c, K114s, K116c, and K116s.

Finally, there’s a designator for what appears to be a brand-new Mac labeled J700 that doesn’t appear to belong to any existing Mac family. The “J” suggests it could release this year, and the “700” seemingly indicates that it’s a new model. It could very well be the low-end A18 Pro MacBook that was rumored this week. In his report, Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that Apple was planning to launch the new device later this year.

Apple is expected to launch its first M5 Macs in late October or early November.
