    Soundcore/ZDNET

Now is the perfect time to plunge if you’ve considered trying out open-ear headphones. Soundcore V40i’s open-ear headphones are now on sale for a 25% off, and they were already affordable. Right now, you can grab them for only $60. This deal includes a lidless case, four adjustable earbud positions to fit every ear, and a free Anker Nano USB-C charger block.

Wearing open-ear headphones over traditional earbuds is different. Open-ear options allow you to listen to music without blocking your ear canal, so you can stay alert to your surroundings and simultaneously converse with others. They’re excellent for multitasking and can be worn in the office and while exercising outside.

The V40i’s open-ear design means you won’t have to deal with the pressure, discomfort, or potential earwax buildup of traditional earbuds, so that you can wear them for hours. The ear hooks are adjustable in four levels, ensuring they’ll comfortably fit anyone.

The V40is also delivered absolutely from a sound standpoint, reaching up to 7.5dB. Four different mics plus advanced AI help filter unwanted noise and ensure you sound crisp and clear for any work or personal calls. The headphones fit magnetically into their lid-free case, have 21 hours of playtime per charge, and are available in white and black. They’re an excellent buy for $60 (save $20).

Plus, when you purchase, you’ll get a free USB-C charger; everyone knows how handy those are.

The Anker Nano USB-C charger block is tiny and mighty, allowing you to charge your devices quickly without taking up too much space in your bag. It’s small, but it uses GaN technology to supply up to 30W of power — it can charge an iPad Air to 50% in only 45 minutes. ZDNET’s Sabrina Ortiz loves this charger for its compact form and quick charging for numerous devices.

    How to get the deal

If you’re interested in this deal, simply add a pair of Anker’s Soundcore V40i open-ear headphones to your cart. The earbuds are on sale for 25% off, saving you $20. Next, you’ll want to add the Anker Nano USB-C charger block to your cart. Enter the code CHARGERGIFT at checkout, and you’ll score the charger (a $16 value) for free.

Here’s what your cart should look like at checkout. Note that the discount code will split your savings between both devices, but the discount still equals the value of the Nano charger.

    How I rated this deal

I rated this deal a 4/5 Editor’s deal rating for its value. Spending $60 for a pair of open-ear headphones isn’t too shabby, especially considering the standard price for bone-conduction headphones is often over $150 or more. That being said, these headphones likely won’t grant the highest quality you can experience. However, it’s an affordable way to experience open-ear headphones if you haven’t before, or an excellent opportunity to stock up on an extra set for the office or gym. It’s also great to get an additional charger for free, especially with the universality of the USB-C. And the Anker Nano USB-C charger is hard to beat for its size (especially with this $0 price tag).

This deal is scheduled to run until Sunday, Oct. 5, but keep in mind that the deal might expire early if supplies run out.
