    Samsung/ZDNET

While Samsung may be more well-known for its high-end QLED and OLED TVs, getting your hands on a premium brand doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune. The Samsung QN1EF is a great mid-range option for anyone looking to add a second screen to their home or upgrade their home theater without breaking the bank. Right now, when you order directly from Samsung, you can save $950 on the 85-inch QN1EF, plus you’ll get a one-year subscription to ESPN Unlimited for free (a $300 value).

Also: The best Samsung TVs you can buy

The Samsung QN1EF is built with a second-generation NQ4 processor, which uses AI-assisted machine learning for better picture and audio processing. With a 144Hz refresh rate, a Pantone Validated QLED panel, and HDR10+ support, you’ll get enhanced detailing, deeper contrast, and bolder, lifelike colors. The dedicated gaming dashboard supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro VRR for smoother motion during fast-paced gameplay and cutscenes, as well as cloud gaming services like Nvidia GeForce Now and Xbox Game Pass, so that you can play your favorite PC and console titles without any dedicated hardware.

Also: I’ve been testing TVs for years and these are my favorite 85-inch TVs

With support for Samsung’s Object Tracking Sound Lite technology, you’ll get 3D virtual surround sound that follows the on-screen action for a more immersive experience while streaming movies and shows, playing video games, or listening to music. It also utilizes an Active Voice Amplifier audio processing mode to boost dialogue in shows, games, and movies so you never miss a line or plot details. And if you’ve completely cut the cord with your cable or satellite provider, the Samsung QN1EF comes with a suite of popular apps preloaded to get started watching your favorite media right out of the box.

Here’s what the deal should look like.

To take advantage of this deal, just add the 83-inch Samsung QN1EF to your cart and ensure that the box to include the ESPN Unlimited subscription is selected. The Samsung website will automatically apply the discount and email you a registration code for redeeming your ESPN subscription.

    How I rated this deal

Samsung is one of the top brands in TVs, and the QN1EF proves why its midrange options are, in many ways, just as good as its high-end OLED offerings. The QN1EF features object-tracking sound, excellent picture quality, and a dedicated gaming dashboard with cloud gaming support. Having a 33% discount and including a $300 ESPN Unlimited subscription for free adds even better value to an already great Samsung TV. That’s why I gave this deal a 3/5 Editor’s rating.
