Honor already unveiled its 400 series phones at a global event held in Paris last month. The brand also held a launch event in China for the Honor 400 and 400 Pro for the local market, and both phones come with slightly different specs compared to their global counterparts.

For starters, both the 400 and 400 Pro feature 6.55-inch AMOLED screens (still FHD+ and 120Hz), which makes the Chinese Honor 400 Pro slightly more compact than its international counterpart.

The 400 Pro is still equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, while the Honor 400 gets an updated Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, which replaces the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 on the global variant. Both phones now get up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The cameras are unchanged with a 200MP main shooter (f/1.9 + OIS) and 12MP ultrawide shared across both phones, while the Pro also gets a 50MP 3x telephoto. The Chinese Honor 400 also goes for a more traditional camera island with a rectangular shape.

Another big change comes under the hood, where both the Honor 400 and 400 Pro get sizeable battery upgrades in the form of 7,200mAh cells. That’s a 1,900mAh gain over the global versions, and the Chinese 400 Pro also gets faster 90W wired charging.

Both phones are IP68 and IP69 rated, which is another upgrade for the Honor 400 as the global version only features an IP65/66 rating.

Both Honor 400 series variants in China are IP68/69 rated.

Honor 400 and 400 Pro come in the same Sea Breeze Blue, Moonlight Silver, and Magic Night Black colors but there’s also a new Quicksand Pink option.

Honor 400 starts at CNY 2,499 ($347) for the 12/256GB trim and goes up to CNY 2,999 ($416) for the 16/512GB version.

    Honor 400

Honor 400 Pro starts at CNY 3,399 ($472) for the 12/256GB trim and goes up to CNY 4,499 ($624) for the top-of-the-line 16GB RAM and 1TB version.

    Honor 400 Pro

Both phones are already listed on Honor’s official webstore in China, with shipments expected from June 6.
