    Your hot takes

Here are the hot takes discussed on the show.

    The UI changes

At WWDC25, Apple unveiled the UI changes it will make in its operating systems, which, of course, generated a lot of thoughts online. Some like the changes, while others aren’t so sure.

It’s great. Don’t worry about it. It looks spot-on. It works fine and this is a Dev beta!”

    Rename Apple’s stuff

At WWDC, Apple unified the version numbers of its operating systems to reflect the year. So it’s now iOS 26, macOS 26, etcetera. In a recent Apple Breakfast column, David proposed that Apple do the same thing with the iPhone.

Apple should just call it Apple OS, it all has a common code base, or maybe Apple OS Mac Edition, Apple OS Phone Edition
