Curious about outer space and views from the stars? NASA is extending its streaming content’s reach with a new partnership with Netflix, the streaming giant announced on Monday. This summer, the agency will launch live programming from its NASA Plus app on Netflix, so you can watch a variety of content such as astronaut spacewalks, rocket launches, video beams of Earth from the International Space Station and much more.

The aim is to pique audience interest in space exploration and the work that NASA does around the globe — and beyond Earth — by offering content to Netflix’s worldwide subscriber base. Though there’s not a firm date for when you’ll see NASA feeds, upcoming live coverage in July includes the launch and docking of the Progress 92 Cargo Craft.

“The National Aeronautics and our Space Act of 1958 calls on us to share our story of space exploration with the broadest possible audience,” said NASA Plus general manager, Rebecca Sirmons. “Together, we’re committed to a Golden Age of Innovation and Exploration — inspiring new generations — right from the comfort of their couch or in the palm of their hand from their phone.”

First launched in 2023, NASA Plus is an ad-free, subscription-free streaming app that features live feeds, mission overviews, documentaries and other programming. This past May, the space agency teamed up with Prime Video to roll out a Live NASA Plus channel as part of the platform’s FAST lineup, which you can stream 24/7.
