Samsung made lots of changes with the introduction of the Z Fold 7. Here’s a quick look at some of the bigger improvements:

- Thinner and lighter design: The Z Fold 7 is the thinnest and lightest Fold, measuring 8.9mm folded and weighing 215g, with a slimmer hinge and main display.
- Redesigned hinge: A new Armor FlexHinge with a multi-rail structure and water droplet design reduces creasing and spreads stress more evenly.
- 200MP camera: The 200MP wide-angle camera is a first in the Galaxy Z series. It supports higher-resolution shots and 44 percent brighter images.
- Night Video: Motion detection separates moving subjects from still backgrounds to reduce low-light noise.
- Wider cover screen: The 6.5-inch outer display now uses a 21:9 aspect ratio, so typing and app usage are easier when folded.
- Larger main display: The main screen is 11 percent larger than the previous Galaxy Z Fold, sitting at 8 inches instead of 7.6 inches. Also, the Ultra-Thin Glass is now 50 percent thicker and supported by a titanium plate layer for extra strength.
- New processor: The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, which Samsung says delivers a 41 percent boost in NPU, 38 percent in CPU, and 26 percent in GPU performance over the Fold 6.
- AI-powered editing tools: Features like Photo Assist and Generative Edit allow object removal and background filling with smart suggestions. Audio Eraser has been improved; it now removes background noise in videos, like wind or traffic, using AI.
- Color options: The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is available in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Jetblack, and an exclusive Mint variant.
