    Byte-Sized Brief

    • One UI 8 launches this summer.
    • Auracast adds QR audio sharing.
    • The Beta program’s now live in four countries.

Today, Samsung announced that One UI 8 will be released this summer with a new update that will bring support for Auracast, a Bluetooth LE Audio feature that lets you share audio to multiple devices just by scanning a QR code. You’ll be able to instantly link your Galaxy Buds3, a friend’s earbuds, hearing aids, or another Auracast device to the same stream.

This makes things way easier. No digging through settings or messing around with Bluetooth menus. Just scan and you’re in. The beta program is live for Galaxy S25 users in Germany, Korea, the UK, and the US; visit the Samsung Developer One UI Beta page to join.

    The Bottom Line

The next Samsung update adds a smart new way to share audio. Listening with friends will get way easier using QR codes, which most people are already familiar with.
