The F4-425 can also serve as a complete home entertainment hub. Supporting hardware-level 4K H.265 decoding, it integrates with Plex, Emby, Jellyfin and uPnP/DLNA protocols for direct streaming to smartphones, tablets, Roku, Apple TV, and smart TVs.

    TERRAMASTER

TerraMaster has announced the launch of its new F4-425, a high-performance 4-bay NAS designed for home use but with professional-grade power and storage capabilities.

This new NAS from TerraMaster is a major upgrade from the previous-generation F4-212 NAS. The new F4-425 transitions away from ARM-based architecture in favor of an Intel x86 quad-core processor. TerraMaster says the change in processor delivers up to a 40% performance boost over the ARM-powered version.

Now Powered By Intel Celeron N5095

With its huge storage capacity, multimedia capabilities and intelligent software ecosystem, the F4-425 is designed as the storage heart of a smart home. With an Intel quad-core processor equipped with 4GB of DDR4 memory, the F4-425 is suitable for intensive workloads such as 4K video encoding, decoding and multitasking.

A 2.5GbE network port is provided for high-speed file transfers and it supports concurrent multi-user access, making data sharing and backups a simple process for all family members.

The TerraPhotos AI smart album utilizes on-device algorithms to automatically organize photos by faces, pets, and scenes, simplifying the management of large media libraries.

In terms of storage and security, the F4-425 can swallow up to 120TB in the form of four 30TB hard drives. TerraMaster’s new TRAID flexible array technology improves storage efficiency by saving up to 30% more space than traditional RAID, while still ensuring data redundancy and reliability. Multi-layered protection comes through SPC security settings, 256-bit TLS encryption, TFSS snapshots and CloudSync compatibility with platforms like Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox.

    Smartphone Setup

Ease of use is also central to the F4-425. The TNAS Mobile app enables complete setup without the need for a PC, enabling instant backup of smartphone photos and videos as well as local and remote synchronization.

The new F4-425 transitions away from ARM-based architecture in favor of an Intel x86 quad-core processor. This model has four bays and can support up to 1120TB capacity across four 30TB drives.

    TERRAMASTER

TerraSync also enhances productivity with millisecond-level file syncing and 32-version recovery for a smooth and near-local drive experience. With noise levels as low as 21dB(A), the F4-425 operates almost silently, while the Push-Lock tool-free design means a drive can be installed or swapped out in just 10 seconds.

The new TerraMaster F4-425 is aimed at home users who need a powerful storage solution for tasks like video editing, 4K media streaming, daily data storage and intelligent file management.

    Pricing and Availability:

The TerraMaster F4-425 4-Bay NAS is available now and priced at $369.99 from Amazon USA and £369.99 from Amazon UK. There is currently a discount that takes the price down to £332.99 / $332.99 when using the available 10% discount coupon
